A man who defeated Mike Tyson over a decade ago stated that the champion boxer is going to “seriously hurt” Roy Jones Jr in their comeback match.
Danny Williams, who defeated Tyson in 2004, stated that while both men are old and have over a century of years between them, Jones doesn’t really stand a chance.
Jones, who once represented the USA in the 1988 Olympics, also holds Russian citizenship granted to him by Russian president Vladimir Putin due to the number of expo bouts he performed in the country.
Williams warned that Tyson is a far more ferocious fighter, and that Jones stands a high chance of injury.
“I think Roy is going to get seriously hurt. He is a natural middleweight,” he said.
According to the Sun, Jones once wrestled with suicidal thoughts and other hardships, making him no stranger to adversity.
The exhibition fight takes place on November 28.
